When they said it could not be done

Each of these parts arrived after somebody else had failed at it. The technical detail is included on purpose - if you have a part like this, you will recognize the problem.

The common thread

None of these were equipment problems

In all three cases the customer already had capable suppliers. What was missing was somebody willing to question the part design itself rather than quote the print as drawn.

A guided core pin instead of a drilled channel. A different resin instead of a tighter process window. A molded snap feature instead of two machine screws. The fix is usually upstream of where the failure appears.

If you are living with an unacceptable scrap rate, a part that only runs when one particular operator is on shift, or a supplier who has stopped returning calls, send us the print and the history.
